A USER MUST HAVE ADMINISTRATIVE STATUS TO LOG-IN TO THIS SECTION.

 

Database Administration is the central control system for the database.  Only users with System Administrator privileges can access and manipulate the information and settings available in DBADMIN. 

DBADMIN has three major categories which are covered in the different sections of this manual.  Within each category are functions or settings used to set-up the information that will be available to Tango users.  A quick review of each category is covered below:

General Administration Tasks

Logout  

Logs user out of Tango Database Administration function.

Home

Returns to Tango Database Administration main screen.

Faults

Add/remove visible Fault items and/or groups from the database.

Recommendations

Add/remove visible Recommendations and/or groups from the database.

Aliases

Input, store, map and/or reference Aliases (if aliases are used).

General Configuration

General setup options usually set up initially and not changed.

User Configuration

Add/edit Users, User roles and User location rights.

Linked Document Types

Add/remove visible Document types from the database.

Equipment Tracking

 

Lookup Values

Add/remove Values populating equipment search/drop lists.

Default Units

Edit Default equipment/performance measurement Units.

Repair Vendors

Add/edit Repair Vendor information.

Email Notifications

Add/remove different Email Notifications for users.
