The objective of the Oilography™ is to provide a systematic oil sample analysis program for industrial facilities.
Oilography™ provides:
- Management of sample collection
- Review of lab analysis results and secondary analysis
- Integration with Tango for problem reporting, integration with other condition technologies and work order creation/tracking.
Management of Sample Collection
Sample Collection schedules may be maintained by either assigning a collection interval to each point or by grouping sample points into tasks which are scheduled on a task interval.
Tango provides the ability to print sample labels for any scheduled sample points or task.
Review of Lab Results
A sample analysis is received from the lab with their analysis of both the lubricant condition and the machine condition. If these assessments are normal, Oilography may be configured to add these results to "Most Recent" category and would not require attention from the plant's oil analysis. Samples assessed by the lab as abnormal and given an alarm severity would be placed by Oilography in the "Samples Awaiting Review" category. From this tab, the plant's oil analyst is expected to examine the lab's comments and alarms and to add their own comments and analysis. At this point the plant analyst may decide that a secondary analysis by consultant or expert is needed, so their review is also allowed before the review status is assessed.
Integration with Tango™
Integration with Tango™ first requires that the oil sample points in Oilography™
are mapped to Tango™. Mapping is required because often the oil sample points
do not have the same name ID as Tango and often multiple sample points map to one
component (example: motor inbound and outbound reservoirs). Once the mapping between
Oilography™ and Tango™ is completed, all Oilography sample reports automatically
appear under their components in the Tango tree and condition entries written in
Oilography™ automatically flow to Tango™.
