Oilography™
Oilography™ manages sample collection scheduling by either individual points
or as a collection task. Each sample may be assigned a collection interval and samples
due or overdue for collection are identified by the program.
Often a large facility will establish a group of samples which are to be collected
on the same interval and are physically or functionally related. In Oilography™,
these groups are called tasks.
Tasks may be based on functional areas:
- Utilities
- Production line 1
- Production line 2
- Packaging
Or based on strategic intervals such as:
- Monthly samples
- Quarterly samples
- Bi-annual samples
An Oilography™ task will auto generate based on the assigned schedule. Once
a task is started, the user may track the progress of sample points in the task
as:
- Sampled
- At lab
- Received
- Reviewed
- Skipped
Click Report Icon
to review data report.
Once all samples points have been reviewed or skipped, the task may be closed and a task summary report is generated.
Oilography™ provides a list of samples to be collected. Oilography proves
a temporary alias for each sample point such as A1, A2... which may be written on
the bottle. Oilography will also provide a printed bottle label that contains a
barcode to simplify lab data entry.
Once samples are collected, the "Collected" status is shown for the task in the progress screen.
Oilography™ provides a list of all samples at the lab that do not have a completed analysis report.
When each sample's analysis is completed by the lab, the results are automatically
transmitted to Oilography™. Oilography may be setup where all samples returned
are presented as unreviewed, or the user may specify that normal samples do not
require a plant review while samples in alarm will be posted for review.
The analysis report allows comments to be entered by the lab or the plant analyst.
Each comment allows the attachment of a linked document. This feature permits the
addition an analysis test such as ferrography reports and photographs.
After samples have been sumbitted to Oilography™, the results can easily be
printed or emailed individually. Users can also print and email a group of reports
after performing a search.
Printing Reports:
From the Control Panel, click the Report Icon
. The report will open in a seperate window. Follow the browser print options to complete the print.
To print a group of reports, the user must preform a search. From the search result window, click the

Oilography™ may be combined with the Tango™ Reliability Information
Management system to provide integration with other condition monitoring technologies,
problem reporting, work order tracking, and equipment specific histories. Integrating
Oilography™ with Tango allows your oil analysis program to become an integral
part of a plant-wide condition based maintenance program.
