24/7 Systems, Inc. is a small entrepreneurial company based near Knoxville, TN.  Our focus is software and web services development for industrial manufacturing customers who need to improve the reliability of their repairable equipment. We are currently looking add the following positions to our team:

 

1) Applications Support Engineer
    24/7 Systems, Inc. is looking for an applications engineer to support existing customers and sales prospects, to include the following duties: 

    Duties will include:         - Database Development

                                        - Product Testing

                                        - Development of Software manuals, Help files, and Video files

    This position requires the following:

                                        - College degree and have 3+ years work experience

                                        - Must be proficient in Excel and Access

                                        - Software development skills a plus

                                        - Good people skills are necessary

                                        - Detail oriented and able to prioritize and maintain multiple simultaneous tasks

2) Software Developer with System Admin Experience
    24/7 Systems, Inc. is looking for a programmer who can also perform general IT functions. This position will include a mix of software development (creating new   features and maintaining existing code), system administration, DB administration, and customer support. The workload will be approximately divided as follows:   
                                                                                    50% System Administration / IT Tasks
                                                                                    50% Programming, Testing, Debugging
    1) Candidate should be proficient with the following System Admin tasks and be familiar with standard security procedures.
                    - Managing Windows 2000 Server (maintaining current patches, backups, user accounts, etc.)
                    - Managing SQ Server 2000 (maintaining optimal performance and backups, user accounts, etc)
                    - Managing firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection applications and devices
                    - Managing a small network infrastructure with file servers, printers, hubs, switches, and a dozen or so PCs and laptops
    2) Candidate should be proficient with the following programming technologies
                    - ASP, HTML, JavaScript, DHTML
                    - SQL, XML, XSL, ADO
                    - Experience with C++, MFC, and COM is a plus.
                    - Experience with ASP.NET is a plus.
    3) Candidate should be comfortable dealing with customers over the phone and explaining things to people with little or no technical background.
